Coach Henderson was a great friend and coach of mine at Eastwood Junior High. He always pushed me to be the best at what ever I did in life. God Bless You Coach and your Family.

I was deeply saddened when heard about the passing of Coach Henderson. He was byfar the best coach I ever played for when I was a student at Eastwood in the late 70"s. What I remember most is he was a fair man. It didnt matter if your daddy was a doctor or a janitor, if you hustled he would play you. I found out the hard way that he was in great shape when I ran into him at basketball practice, I hit him and then the floor. I'm also thankful for the encouragement he gave me when he heard I was going to college. He told me "don't leave until you get your degree.' Thanks Coach RIP.

Mrs. Gene and Family - Billy was a Great Football Official and a Great Southern Christian Gentleman! We worked many Games together in the SEC, including the 1974 Peach Bowl Game (Vanderbilt vs Texas Tech). He was not only a Credit to the SEC but, also, to the The Great Game of College Football!!!
God Bless Y'all and I Thank the Lord for bringing Him into My Life! He was MY Cherished Friend!!!

Coach Hen touched the lives of so many people - those who were involved in sports as players (his own and those on opposing teams), coaches, and officials. I was privileged to know him and express my deepest sympathy to his family.
