Bill was born in Evansville, Indiana. He met and fell in love with an Alabama girl while in high school. After graduation, they married and moved to Alabama, where he got a job as a milkman at Perry's Pride. He then went on to work for the University of Alabama. They had two wonderful children, four grandkids, and a bonus grandson. These Kids meant the world to them! Bill was a little league baseball coach assistant and a volunteer fireman with Englewood-Hulls Volunteer Fire Department for many years, with his son. After 35 years at the University, Bill retired with his wife, spending holidays hosting family get togethers, watching Alabama softball and cheering on the Crimson Tide's football team. Bill was a devoted husband for 50 years, he was a loving father and the most beloved grandpa you could imagine! He will always be loved and will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Craig Ammons, Jacob Laycock, Phillip Johnson, Jody Wyatt, Joe Poole, and Tut Hodo. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Englewood-Hulls Volunteer Fire Department and former co-workers at the University of Alabama.
