William F Quarles

RALPH – William Foster Quarles, age 86, of Ralph, died July 15, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Grants Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Springer, Rev. Dalton Styes and Rev. Mike Griffin officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today, July 20, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus C. and Josephine Quarles; sisters, Rebecca O'Neal and Mary Ellen Martin; and brothers, R.C., James and Robert.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Charlotte Styes Quarles; daughter, Donna Hargle (Gary); son, Reggie Quarles (Denise); brother, Luther Quarles; grandchildren, Julie Quarles Champion (Kelly), Chad Quarles (Lacey), Heath Hargle and Jamie Hargle (Disa); and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, and Jaden, Champion, Bria Hargle, Jacob and Jaxson Hargle and Foster Quarles.

He was a lifelong member of Grants Creek Baptist Church. He retired from Jitney Jungle/Brunos/ Food World after 37 years of services. He was a member of the Baptist Disaster Team of Alabama for 20 years.

Pallbearers will be Chad Quarles, Heath Hargle, Jamie Hargle, Kelly Champion, Jacob Champion, Jared Champion, Jaden Champion, Jaxen Hargle and Foster Quarles.

Honorary pallbearers are friends of Grants Creek Baptist Church, David and Mary Booth, Thomas Stamps, JD Beck, AJ Rouse, Harold and Rachel Clayton, Rev. Jim Smith, Dr. George Miller and staff, friends of Brunos and Food World, friends of Baptist Disaster Team of Alabama and Hospice of West Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
