Willodene Edgeworth Dyer

Willodene Dyer, age 77, of Northport, died October 30, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with grandson, Reverend Jacob Cory and Dr. Herb Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Lois Edgeworth; husband of 56 years, Charlie Dyer; son, Denny Dyer; and sister, Edna Morrow.Survivors include her daughters, Angie Dyer, Lisa Elmore (Don), and Julie Williams (George); brother, Boyd Edgeworth (Jean); grandchildren, Jacob Cory (Shanna), Stacie Kelley (Wade) and Dee Guy (Jason); and great-grandchildren, Meri Brandon, Blakley and Bella Lightsey, Gunner Kelley, Jessika, Koulson and Clayton Guy. Willodene was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away. They never left her side during the weeks that she spent in the hospital.Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Debra Davis, Dr. Copeland, Dr. Chandra, nurses and staff of 2 Southeast Oncology Unit, ACCU, MICU, DCH Home Health and Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Treatment Center physicians and staff.
