White; parents, Walter and Ada Sparks Moore; brothers, Garland, Thomas, Bobby, Douglas, and Rodney Moore; sisters, Ruby Powell and Mary Deese; sons-in-laws, James Lee Tidmore III "Jimmy", Charles Wedgeworth "Chuck"; grandson, Benjamin Mitchell and great-granddaughter, Kaci Rae Mitchell.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Walters-McKinley (Leroy) of Deer Park, TX, Linda White Tidmore of Plano, TX, Sherry White Wedgeworth of Coker, AL, and Jo White Mitchell (Ronnie) of Moundville, AL; sister, Brenda Moore Duncan (Carl) of Moundville, AL; brother, Billy Moore (Shirley) of Duncanville, AL; grandchildren, Scott Walters (Tammy) of Northport, AL, Joely Tidmore-Winthrone (Drew) of Denison, TX, Emily Ragan Tidmore Dimberio (Peter) of Melissa, TX, Jesse Gandy (Justin) of Roanoke, VA, Zachary Wedgeworth of Cottondale, AL, Nathaniel Wedgeworth (Jessica) of Wilmer, AL, Jessica Elizabeth Wedgeworth of Birmingham, AL, Michael Wedgeworth of Coker, AL, Jonathan Mitchell (Mary Cris Segura) of Moundville, AL, Caleb Mitchell (Senea Tubbs) of Moundville, AL; great-grandchildren, Justice Burr-Dean (Chris), Annabeth and Evie Wedgeworth, Isa Johnson, and Kayla and Zoey Mitchell, Jared and Jordan Walters, Austin June Gandy, and Taj Gandy, and Joshua Gandy and Mitchell Dimberio and Maddox Dimberio; great-great-grandchildren, Jet and Lucca Dean.
Zella was a life-long resident of Moundville, AL. She was a member of Little Sandy Baptist. Zella was the owner and operator of Mimi Flower and Beauty Shop. She was a member of Three Wheeler Club. She loved to travel the world. Two of her favorite places were 1000 Islands New York and Lake Texoma.
Pallbearers are grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Larry Skelton and staff from Alabama Hospice Care, special nurse Stacey, special people Charlotte Henderson, friend & caregiver, Ryan Jett, niece Robin Moore, Tonya Wedgeworth, and Aunt Jessie. Also her special pups, Brewster and Max.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or Hale County Animal Shelter.
A graveside service for Zella will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, Moundville, AL.
