

Alayne was born April 21, 1967 in Reno to Alan and Marcia Oaks Oppio. With whom she shares the same birthday. She grew up on the family ranch in Spanish Springs.
Alayne loved all animals and enjoyed riding horses. Her love was her family and spending time with them. As a young woman, she was active in 4-H and won several state championships. She also participated in Home Grown, Miss Reno Rodeo and traveled the US with the 4-H judging team.
In 1985, Alayne graduated from Bishop Manogue Catholic High School, earning varsity letters in basketball and cheerleading. After high school, she attended UNR and was a member of Pi Phi Sorority.
Employment opportunities lead Alayne to Sun Valley, ID where she met her future husband Stacey. On July 4, 1998, they were married at her Aunt Marilyn’s and Uncle Tom’s cabin in Alaska.
On December 1, 2000, Alayne gave birth to the joy of her life, Levi Alan Walters. They lived in Sun Valley, Idaho for eight years before moving to Twin Falls in 2003.
Alayne worked as the office manager for Acorn Learning Center in Twin Falls. She loved working at Acorn and being close to all the children, especially her son who attended there. She will be deeply missed by all the children and teachers, whom she loved very much.
Alayne is survived by her husband, Stacey; her son Levi; her parents, Alan Oppio of Gooding, ID and Marcia Oppio of Sparks, NV, her sister Alison Lee (Jack) of Boise, ID; her brother, Charles Oppio (Jennifer) of Sparks, NV as well as her in-laws David and Charlene Walters of ID. Her nephew Tyler Walters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held for Alayne at 11:00am on Friday March 26, 2010, at the St. Edwards The Confessor Catholic Church, 161 6th Ave. East, Twin Falls, ID. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-7:30 pm at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls. Condolences may be left at www.whitemortuary.com
A Celebration of Alayne’s life will be held in Sparks, NV at 10:00am Monday March 29, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5650 Vista Blvd; Sparks, NV.
Wake to follow at the Red Hawk Resort Events Center.
Donations can be made in Alayne’s name to the Alayne Oppio-Walters Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School.
