Bobby Carrole Sellers

Bobby C. Sellers, 83, of Hazelton, Idaho passed away Friday evening, September 1, 2017 at the DeSano Place in Jerome.

Bob was born to Henry James “H.J. Sellers” and Grace Pullen in 1934 in Eden, Idaho. He grew up and attended school in the Hazelton area. As a boy, Bob spent most of his time outdoors hunting and fishing at Wilson Lake.

He was a member of the National Guard and worked for Idaho Power. Bob married Wilma Thornton in August of 1954. He worked for the Hillsdale Highway District for a number of years. Bob and Wilma moved to the Dixon area in 1962 where he farmed until retirement in 2012. There they raised three boys, Monte, Lonnie and Rob. During the winter months Bob was also employed at Conida Warehouse, Bean Growers and drove truck with Roy Coulson for Arlo Lott.

Bob was preceded in death by eleven siblings; Vi, Alice, Frank, Don, Dora, Dorothy, Bunny, Maxine, Howard “Red”, Betty, Ronald “Tub”, and his best buddy and grandson, Tayler. Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years; three sons, Monte (Lennine) Sellers of Jasper, IN; Lonnie (Susan) Sellers of Snohomish, WA; and Rob (Jana) Sellers of Eden, ID; four granddaughters, Ashely Fischer of Pinellas Park, FL; Madison Sellers of Jasper, IN; Logan Sellers of Jasper, IN; and Tannah Sellers of Eden, ID; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob’s favorite past time was visiting, or as he said, “Telling more lies”. Bob never met a stranger and he always enjoyed visits from the granddaughters and family. Bob was a Deacon and a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Hazelton. He was also involved with Valley Riding Club, Valley Booster Club, Hazelton Cemetery Board, Hillsdale Highway District Board, Valley Lions Club, and Magic Valley Gem Club. Bob loved going to all of the sports at Valley School. His favorite hobby included making things out of rocks he had polished. He enjoyed sharing his art and beautiful belt buckles with all the “Rock Hounds” at the annual Gem Show. Bob loved country music (especially George Jones), deer hunting, fishing and exploring in the South Hills.

We will miss Bob very much. We imagine him sitting now by a pond in a green meadow, fishing pole in hand and waiting for the rest of us to show up.

The family would like to thank DeSano Place Assisted Living Homes and Hospice Visions for their loving care of Bob in his final days.

Funeral services for Bob will be held as a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Hazelton Cemetery with Pastor R.J. Hanson officiating. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls.
