Hannah Ann Read, 95, of Kimberly passed away Saturday evening, February 20, 2016 at the Twin Falls Care Center in Twin Falls.

She was born December 17, 1920 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of Jacob J. and Carolina Rudolph. She grew up and attended schools in Kimberly; graduating from Kimberly High school in 1940.

Hannah met her loving companion, Ray Read and they were married on June 1, 1940 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Together they raised three children, Ginger, Shirley and Gary.

They farmed south of Kimberly and Hannah worked many years at the Person’s IGA until she retired. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many different callings.

Hannah is survived by her daughter, Shirley Gillies of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Gary (Gloria) Read of Ogden, Utah; her grandchildren, Michelle (Rich) Vuksinick and Toni Rush both of Salt Lake City, Utah; Robert Ray (Monika) Hoover of Oklahoma; grandson-in-law, Tom Diamond of North Carolina as well as her great grandchildren, Andi and Dayna Vuksinick of Salt Lake City, Utah and Randi Diamond of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and one brother; daughter, Ginger Hoover and granddaughter, Tina Diamond.

Funeral services for Hannah will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Kimberly 2nd Ward LDS Church, 222 Birch Street South, Kimberly, Idaho with Counselor, Ryan Merrick conducting. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls and also on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the LDS church.

Services are under the direction of White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
