Nellie Roberta Taylor

Nellie “Roberta” Taylor, 80 of Hansen, Idaho died Sunday, December 22, 2013.

Nellie “Roberta” Mitchell was born to Margaret Francis and Robert Taylor Mitchell on February 19, 1933 in Eden, Idaho. Roberta married Von Taylor in 1949 and the couple had 5 children; daughter, Vonda (Wiley) Thomas, sons, Darrell (Kathy) Taylor, Mike Taylor, Don Taylor, and Dean (Valerie) Taylor.

Throughout her life, Roberta worked hard in various jobs, but was most proud of her family and her job as mother and grandma. She went back to school to become a bookkeeper after the kids left home.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Von Taylor, her second husband Bill Taylor, her son Don, and her sisters, Althea Corben and Margaret Steinmetz.

She is survived by her daughter, Vonda, her sons, Darrell, Mike & Dean; 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Roberta’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at White Mortuary, 136 4th Avenue East in Twin Falls with Pastor Wayland McClellan of the Kimberly Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at White Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to apply toward Roberta’s funeral expenses. Donations may be given to mortuary staff or mailed to White Mortuary, PO Box 845, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303.

Arrangements are under the direction of Preston Flanary and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
