Paul Donald Bowen

Paul was born December 9, 1927 to Claude M. and Mary S. (Austin) Bowen in Lequire, Oklahoma.

Paul moved with his parents and siblings to Live Oak, California where he met and married Norma Grace Jones on June 16, 1947. To this union four children were born, Paul Dee, Elmalee Grace, Diana Mary and Norman Wayne.

Paul worked for U. S. Gypsum in Empire, Nevada until 1964. When he left Nevada he had several jobs over the next few years, ending with living in Filer, Idaho and working for Idaho Frozen Foods, now ConAgra Foods – Lamb Weston in Twin Falls, Idaho until his retirement.

Paul was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed chasing bear with his hound dogs for as long as he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Mary, two brothers, Burch and Robert, one sister, Betty Sue, his wife Norma and his daughter Diana.

Paul is survived by one brother Kenneth Bowen (Peggy) of Williams, California; sons Paul Bowen, Filer, Idaho, Norman Bowen (Maria) Twin Falls, Idaho; daughter Elmalee Beaver (Harry) Hansen, Idaho. Five grandchildren; Larry Beaver (Dawn) Kimberly, Idaho, Rustin Bowen, Filer, Idaho, Gracelee Claiborne (Jeff) Twin Falls, Idaho, Randy Bowen (Shannon) Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Jessica Beaver Nelson (Aaron) Boise, Idaho.

Three great grandchildren; Bradley Beaver, Morgan Claiborne, and Carson Beaver.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park Twin Falls, Idaho. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary “Chapel by the Park.”
