Thelda Mae Todd

She was born in Twin Falls on October 17, 1939 to Luke and Lillis Francis. She was the last of ten children and attended school in Twin Falls. Thelda graduated from Twin Falls High School. She later attended classes at CSI.

Thelda married Jack Hettenbach in 1958. Together they had three children: Shelli Stewart (Mike Velly), Jack Hettenbach (Mike Spiers) and Rick (Kim) Hettenbach. They later divorced and she married Ray Todd. They were married for seven years.

Thelda retired from Lamb Weston when she discovered she had macular degeneration in her eyes. She then worked part time at the Twin Falls School Dist. In the cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Lillis Francis, her brothers, Ted, Pat, Merle, Bobby and Rex. Her sisters, Gloria, Ione, Vali and Dixie.

She was a proud woman and worked very hard to buy her own home and raise her children by herself. She enjoyed going out to eat. It was her favorite thing to do. Although she had vision problems, she loved to crochet. She produced some very beautiful items with her limited sight and donated them to various charities.

Thelda was a loving daughter to her parents and cared for them until the end. She was very proud of her children and her grandchildren, Matt, Jed, Dylan (Stewart), Dakota and Alisha Hettenbach. And her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Holt and Hunter Stewart. We will miss her very much.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park.
