

Barbara Mae Price, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. Born on April 10, 1939, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Odes and Loyce Holmes, Barbara was raised in Tyler, Texas, graduating from John Tyler High School in 1957.
In 1960, she married the love of her life, Paul Harrison Price. Together they built a loving family and shared many happy years. Barbara dedicated more than seven years as a Nursing Assistant at Tyler Medical Center Hospital, where she cared for others with compassion and devotion.
A faithful follower of Jesus and a devoted member of her church community, Barbara enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, cooking, visiting with family and friends, and cherishing time with loved ones.
Barbara’s warmth, kindness, and wonderful cooking brought comfort and joy to those who knew her. One cherished family memory reflecting her selfless love occurred when she saved her granddaughter Jennie from an oncoming vehicle, a true testament to her attentiveness and courage.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul H. Price, her son David W. Price, her parents Odes and Loyce Holmes, and her brother Garvin Holmes.
Barbara is lovingly survived by her daughter Penny Hibbs and husband Frank; daughter-in-law Jennie Kate Price; grandchildren Rachel Lyra and husband Ian, Joshua W. Price, Paul Hibbs, and Miriam Patricio and husband Enrique; and great-grandchildren Yvette, Jazmyn, Alejandro, Jennie, Veronka, Jagger, and Madelyne Price.
Barbara’s legacy of faith, love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
