Just hearing of Barry's accident and his passing from this earth to Heaven.  He was my first Steady Beau in 10th Grade at John Tyler HS.  After graduation and TJC we went separate ways.  I would occasionally receive random calls from him.  He was just calling to check on me to see how I was doing. Let the celebrating begin, Barry!

Barry was a dear friend of ours even though I had not been in touch with him for several years -  he was loved and will be missed by many as he had so many friends

Some of the neatest birthday gifts to me came from you.  You have been my BFF since 1970 and still remain in my heart until we meet again. Papa Bear,

I will never forget all the times we all had at the brass star. Your sense of humor was dry and inappropriate just like mine and we had alot of laughs.  See you on the other side my friend.

I didn't know Bear personally. He was a friend to my Marci Memmott and her daughter's Bailie and Brinlie at a difficult time in their lives. For that I thank him. Marci has spoken kindly and wistfully of Papa Bear since the accident. I know she would like to be here, but circumstances will not allow that. Bless you Bear, Ride in Peace as she and the girls said. May God bless you and your family.

Was riding my bike close to Barry's house on Sunday and thought I need to stop and say hi, but oh no I had to get home for grandsons bday party..Sure wish I had stuck to my gut feeling to see my friend for the last time..I will miss the Ol grouchy Big Bear..

You could be a bear but I considered you a friend. I enjoyed the rides we took when I was lost.  The advice you gave me saved my life. "Do the right thing." Let Stretch take the lead some.--VAYA CON DIOS BEAR.

How our Dealership will miss you. Especially when you shared a Bear hug to me and pull your own Harley Davidson outta the service area yourself. We laughed a many of times since 1979.The metal stars I still hold close to my heart you gave me there. You were the star, you shined bright. You have not left us you are on a better highway. We are saddened by this news of Barry's passing. We just saw and spoke to Barry at my brother, Michael Watson's Memorial this past Saturday, Sept. 19th. He came and we visited afterwards and before we all left we all hugged. RIP, Barry...I know you and Michael are playing a great game of pool. Rodney and Sharon Owens

I'll never forget you Barry my friend. Forty something years ago I met what I considered a brother when I met Barry. I'll see you again in heaven. " Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death". Amen.

My heart is sad, for the loss of my sweet and gentle friend/brother. Barry was a son by choice to my mother, a brother to my brother  and myself. He's now in heaven  with mother, dad and many others that love and respected him for the man he was and had become.  Prayers for his sweet sweet moma and his sis.  I pray for our sweet Lord and Savior to wrap his arms around you and help ease your pain.

I was very saddened by the news. Barry was a stand up fellow. I've known him 18 years, spent time fishing, riding, and just hanging out with him. He will be truly missed by all that knew him well. Later Big Bear.... I will miss you my friend....

I am saddened to learn of Barry's passing, We were good friend's and had a lot of fun together in High School, Barry was always smiling and quick to laugh and had an amazing spirit. My condolences to all his family and loved ones.

I'm sorry to hear that Barry has passed. I knew him many years ago in school, and if there is any comfort in his loss, it is knowing that he found the Lord. God bless him.

Barry went to our church, will miss him. What a terrific guy

We are going to miss our Dear Friend immensely. He has been a huge part of our family since 1997 when he became our son's friend, and has helped us cope with the loss of our son for the last 10 years. He was known as Big Bear but we can confirm that he was our "Teddy Bear" and "Gentle Giant". We loved Bear and considered him part of our family. The only comfort we have in losing him is that he is now with our son, Kevin, in heaven. To our friend Bear: we know you and Kevin will be waiting for us at the Gate when we get there. To the family: thank you for our Gentle Giant and trust in The Lord,  for we can affirm that he will carry you through this time of heartache.  I know Bear knew and trusted in The Lord. I talked to him on Tues morning and we talked about trusting the Lord to take care of us, praying for his guidance, and putting our problems in His hands. Strange that we had that talk on that morning (or maybe not)!   Just know that our hearts ache with you and we are praying for God to comfort you.  Butch & Elizabeth Bush
