Bobbie passed on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Tyler.
She was born September 1, 1932 in Mineola, Texas to Styles & Lona English.
Bobbie grew up in Mineola, obtained her LVN License from Baylor Medical and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Tyler College in Petroleum Technology. Bobbie lived & worked at Medical Center in Tyler for over 30 years and retired in 1997. She then moved to Chandler, Texas. She was a life-long member and attended Queen St Baptist which is now Westwood Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son James Milton Malone; one Granddaughter Jennifer Malone; and all of her six brothers & sisters.
She was the youngest & the last one of her original family. There are only a few benevolent women that walk this Earth, she was in that number. Our Mom was, in a Baseball analogy, “Home Base”, it was a place that no matter which child, grandchild or great grandchild that came to her home, you were always offered something to eat coming & going, you could feel it in your heart, it was True Sanctuary. She loved you without judgment and you could be declared “safe” from Worldly problems. Our Mom made homemade quilts for each child, and all grand & great-grandkids. These blankets have traversed many places and all who own one know it is something special, a gift that was modestly wrapped with soft ribbon and a personal bow, and humbly presented at showers, birthdays, holidays, & births.
She was married to James P. Malone (WW II Vet) for 65 years.
She is survived by her husband, James P. Malone; daughter Carron Jean Dearborn; son Stephen E. Malone; 4 grandchildren Dustin, Crystal, Deryk, & Lindsay; and 6 great grandchildren Logan, Gavin, Kyleigh, Kiersten, Devin, & Gabby.
