Charles H. Brigmon, a lifelong resident of Kilgore, Texas, passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janette Wiggin Brigmon; his parents, Henry and Fannie Brigmon; his brother, Wayne Brigmon; and his sister, Barbara Longmire.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Pamela Davis (Ben); his sons, Danny Brigmon (Shelly) and Tadd Brigmon (Gabby); and his grandchildren: Aaron (Kyara), Whitney, Micah, Anna, Farrah, Noah, and Lucas. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Anabelle and Emberli. His brother, Roger Brigmon (Martha), survives him as well, along with his nieces and nephews who fondly called him “Uncle Charlie.”
After graduating from high school, Charles attended Kilgore College. He went on to build a decades-long career in both commercial and private automotive painting. Known for his meticulous preparation and craftsmanship, he took great pride in achieving the flawless, glass-like finishes that became his hallmark. His skill and dedication earned the respect of both coworkers and clients alike.
Charles was an avid tennis player and was well known for his competitive spirit on the court. Whether he was rallying for points or engaging in good-natured banter, he brought energy, humor, and a sharp wit to every match. His unique phrasing of old sayings and lively personality would always bring a laugh to friends and family.
Charles served in his church’s children’s ministry as a mascot character and was a driver for the church bus route. He played softball on the church team and volunteered as a coach for the local civic little league, creating lasting memories.
He appreciated life’s simple joys—especially a hot cup of coffee loaded with canned milk and sugar, best enjoyed in good company and conversation.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with friends and family.
