Charlotte Anne Prather, 86 of Tyler, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on October 7, 2017. Mrs. Prather was born in Tyler on June 23, 1931, to Elbert Theodore and Maudie Elizabeth Rudd Ford. She was married to Gilbert Prather, Sr. for 19 years. Her hobbies included sewing, reading and tending to her flowers. Survivors include her children: Ed Prather (Ruth) of Oskaloosa, KS, Rhonda Prather of Tyler, Eric Prather of Grand Saline, Joe Prather (Diane) of Santa Fe, NM, and Keith Prather (Dwanna) of Haltom City, TX. As well as 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brothers: Jimmie Ford and Jerry Ford and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Pat Ford, sisters: Nelrose Stover and Jean Brodie. At Charlotte’s request, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 10 am to 12 pm.
