Mrs. Delfina Moya Gonzalez

Delfina Moya Gonzalez, 81, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Briarcliff Health Center in Tyler. She was born on June 29, 1945 in Edinburg, Texas to Antonio G. and Rafaelita (Ramirez) Moya.

Dell attended Edinburg High School.She was united in marriage to Jesus J. “Jessie” Gonzalez. She worked as a district manager for Havana Shoes in Brownsville. Dell was a member of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Tyler. Her life was centered around her family and loved family gatherings. Dell enjoyed the outdoors, dancing, going to car shows, and watching western movies.

She is survived by her five daughters, Ida (Samuel) Trevino, Zenaida Garcia, Evelyn (Jose) Martinez, Abby Chacon and Lorry Gonzalez; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Heriberto Montemayor; and sister,Guadalupe Sanchez.

Dell was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Rafaelita Moya; husband, Jesus “Jessie” Gonzalez; sisters, Josephina Garcia and Amadita Colon; and brother, Antonio Moya.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2026 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, with a rosary to start at 5:30 p.m. A funeral mass will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 21 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
