Denise was born on January 25, 1960, in Key West, Florida. She was raised in Tyler, Texas, and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1978. Shortly after, she began a beautiful life with the love of her life, Dennis Campbell. Together they shared 46 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures. Denise loved reading books, playing games on her phone, crocheting, drawing, and painting. She was a free spirit at heart-a true hippie who loved animals, especially cats and dogs. Her creativity, kindness, and gentle nature touched the lives of many.
Denise had a beautiful soul and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her compassion, generosity, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Campbell; her sister, Karen Downing and husband David; her brothers, Danny Hawkins and Doug Hawkins and wife Cindy; her brothers-in-law, James Campbell and Robert Campbell; her nieces and nephews, Cody Walker, Hayle Walthall, Greg Hawkins wife Misty, Kim Hawkins, and Dillon Hawkins wife Anna; one great-nephew; and her cherished friends who were more like family, Robert Brown, Susan Flanagan, and Johnnie Kay Flannelly. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
A celebration of Denise's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 12, 5503 American Legion Road, Tyler, Texas.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Denise's love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will live on in the memories she created with those she loved.
