Diana Johnson, age 60, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Sunday November 3, 2019. Diana was born on February 17, 1959 to James Weldon Cook and Faye Leavorn Shires. Diana spent her days crocheting, but her favorite activity was going to the beach. She was known for being a ‘beach bum’ on the shores of Panama City beach, and to her it was the only beach there ever was. Diana also loved gardening; she could grow anything she tended to. She always told it how it was, a quote she lived by was ‘what you see is what you get.’ Even though Diana was hard headed, she knew to settle thing by killing people with kindness. She will be greatly missed Diana is survived by her loving husband Jerry Johnson; daughters Kristina Fontenot and Jacque Collins; grandchildren Caelley Fontenot, Hunter Collins, and Hayes Johnson. Diana is preceded in death by her parents James Weldon Cook and Fay Leavorn Cook. A visitation for Diana will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 at 12:00 p.m., following a celebration of Diana's life at 2:00 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
