Dolores Ruth Dresser, age 72, of Tyler, peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. She was born on September 28, 1939 in Gary, Indiana to Edward A. and Loretta F. Williams, they preceded her in death. Dolores married the love of her life, David Leonard Dresser, on July 12, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois and together they spent the next 46 years raising a family and living a lifetime of memories. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2004. Dolores faithfully worked in customer service for the Marriott Corporation for 23 years. She considered the people she worked with as her extended family.
Dolores loved to read and cook but her greatest joys came from her family and her beloved dog, Daisy.
Dolores is survived by one son, Dean Dresser, and wife Debra, of Austin, one daughter, Dale Rhea, and husband Joe, of Flint, and by close family friend Barry Jacobs of Tyler.
A memorial service for Dolores Dresser will be held at 5:30 P.M., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Chaplain Dale Purdy officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00 – 5:30 P.M. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
