After leaving the military, Gary again worked in several different jobs before moving to the Dallas area where he began a long career with Rockwell International, now Rockwell Collins. While with the company he spent time in Israel on various special assignments. He always said the best part of his job was the time he spent there. He retired in June of 2015.

He is survived by his mother, Marguerite Patton of Winona, two brothers and their spouses, Nicky and Kay Patton and Tony and Teri Patton of Tyler, two sisters and their spouses, Becky and Dick Bolton of Lubbock and Janet and Sandy Metcalf of Winona and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thanks to Hospice of East Texas Home Care for their support, guidance and concern during the last stages of Gary’s illness.
