Janelle Greenfield

Mrs. Greenfield was born on October 22, 1923 in Enloe, Texas Delta County to Milton Merritt and Mattie Pearl Hamm Scott and passed away on June 8, 2017 in Tyler.

Mrs. Greenfield moved to Ropesville on the South plains when she was 3, moved to Brownfield when she was 6, Graduated High School in 1942, went to San Diego, California in 1943 working at Rhor Aircraft during WWII as a “Rosie the Riveter”, came back to Brownfield and married her High School Sweet Heart, Lucian Greenfield, in 1945 when he got out of the service. She spent a few months in New Mexico, moved to Plainview in 1947 worked in Insurance and as interior decorator for Sears Roebuck and Co. She moved to Lubbock in 1971 and lived there until 2003 working for H Dean & Pierce Co for 22 Years retiring at age 79, then to Tyler to be near her family.

Mrs. Greenfield is survived by her sons: Larry Greenfield and wife Delana of Cedar Hill; Lucian Greenfield and wife Diana of Lehi, Utah; grandchildren: Heather Simonsen of Kayesville , Utah; Andrew Greenfield of Riverton, Utah; Jason Greenfield of Logan, Utah; Daniel Greenfield of Lehi, Utah; Jonathan Greenfield of Burleson; Elizabeth Greenfield of Waxahachie; Sydni Greenfield of Cedar Hill; great-grandchildren: Nick Simonsen; Chandler Simonsen; Abbey Simonsen; Kahyle Simonsen; Garrett Greenfield; Brexley Greenfield; Xylia Greenfield; Jordan Edwards; Sean Greenfield; Hayden Greenfield; brother: Maxie Scott and wife Nancy of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephew.

Visitation will be prior to service.
