

Jeneve Maren Stapf, aged 98, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. Born on September 15, 1927, Jeneve dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying the roles of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jeneve was the cherished wife of the late Floyd Stapf and a devoted mother to Karen and her husband, Wayne Fleming, and Douglas Stapf. She was a proud grandmother to Jeneve and Eugene Lomas, Jessica Cullum, and Elizabeth Stapf, and a great-grandmother to Chris Cornelio and Julian Lomas. Her joy in her family was evident in every aspect of her life, providing them with not only love but also the warmth of her home cooking, sewing, and quilting. Jeneve was a key member of the Piecemakers quilting group and a lifetime member of the PTA, reflecting her commitment to service and community involvement.
Jeneve was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Stapf parents, Elizabeth and Thomas Rasmussen; Daughter Barbara, daughter-in-law, Betsy Stapf; grandson-in-law, Matt Cullum; and her siblings, Evelyn Sumers, Alice Rasmussen, Edith Frear, and Thomas Rasmussen.
She completed her education in business school, which informed her skilled management of her household. A homemaker by career, Jeneve excelled in creating a nurturing environment for her family and friends. Her faith played a significant role in her life, and she was a dedicated member of Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church.
A service to honor Jeneve’s life will be held at Tyler Memorial Cemetery. Her life was a testament to the values of family, faith, and community, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
