Jess Allen Reeves

Jess Allen Reeves, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, in Tyler Texas. He was born on April 2, 1937, in Dallas, Texas to Oeyvind Olin and Allene Minnie Reeves. Jess was raised in Oak Cliff Texas and graduated from Sunset High school and later from Texas A&M University.

He married Beverly Reeves in 1959, and the couple had two children together. He served the great nation of the United States Army as a LTC Vietnam veteran, and he served for 20 years. His 1st assignment was in Fort Hill, Oklahoma and his sons Mark and Jeff were born there. He traveled abroad going to Korea for 2 years and then to parts of Asia.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and racquet ball. He was a man of God, who served his Lord faithfully. He was a very family and career orientated person. He was a member of the Lutheran Family. They can truly say that Jess was a man that loved his nation and loved his Lord and served both faithfully and gracefully.

His family will always remember him as a dedicated father and husband, a great provider for the family, his military legacy. The military was a big part of his life, and his legacy will continue on.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents and his beloved wife.

He is survived by his two sons Jeff and Mark Reeves.
