

Funeral services for Jim Pat Watson, age 84, of Tyler will be 2:00pm Friday, February 19, 2016 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Richardson officiating. Entombment will be in Field of Honor Mausoleum.
Mr. Watson was born on May 18, 1931 in Gladewater to Carl and Lois Moore Watson and passed away on February 15, 2016 in Tyler. Coming from a large family of electricians, Mr. Watson and his brother C.E. started their own company in 1966 and God blessed them with a very successful business for many years. Mr. Watson was a member of The First Baptist Church in Tyler, St. Johns Masonic Lodge #53, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #1151 and a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Mr. Watson is survived by his daughters: Melanie Watson Shaw and husband Jimmy of Tyler and Vicki Watson Shope of Tyler; grandchildren: Mark Higginbotham of Tyler, Ami Steich of Tyler, Michael Blakely of Tyler and Brandon Blakely of Tyler; great-grandchildren: Skylar Steich and Baylee Steich both of Tyler, Brad Higginbotham and Anna Higginbotham both of Tyler; sister: Mary Watson Brown of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat never met a stranger and blessed all who came to know him. He loved his cats and all animals cherishing them dearly.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Shaw, Brandon Blakely, Michael Blakely, Tommy Brown, Jeff Brown and Mark Higginbotham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, Smith County Humane Society, The Supreme Council of Masons or the charity of your choice. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Brookdale Tyler South for the exceptional care they gave our dad.
