Joyce Lynn (Bell) Martin, age 83, of Flint, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was born on Sunday, May 5, 1940 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to William Arthur and Fannie Lorraine Bell. She married Phillip Stanley Martin on September 20, 1959, and enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage.
Joyce worked in banking for over 40 years and in that time made a deep impression on everyone she met. She was a proud member of Flint Baptist Church and the Hot Rod Bunch. Wherever she went she shined her joy and love for others. Joyce’s greatest treasure in life was the time she spent with her family.
Joyce is survived by her son, Don Stanley Martin and wife, Tracy; her daughter, Kim Ritch and husband, Benny; nine grandchildren, Sabrina, Phillip, Kara, Cade, Alanis, Johnathan, Christina, Courtney, and Brittany; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Brenda McDade.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Fannie Bell; and her loving husband, Phillip Martin.
A time of visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 am at Flint Baptist Church, immediately followed by the short graveside service at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Phillip Martin, Cade Neel, Dylan Ritch, Carson Ritch, Michael Fierro and Johnathan Ritch. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Dotson, and Benny Ritch.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Flint Baptist Church.
