Kimberly Leigh Harris was born August 28th, 1966 in Rusk, Texas. Kim graduated from Henderson High School before attending Kilgore College. She later continued her studies to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Tyler. Kim was an avid gardener, cook, reader, artist, musician, singer, caregiver, hostess, and follower of Jesus. She loved having fun and traveling with her family. Holidays, specifically Christmas, and Thanksgiving, were Kim’s favorite times to spend with family. She always went out of her way to make sure that everyone was welcome and taken care of. She looked forward to the days she would spend with her children and grandchildren. Kim was also interested in history, while being very politically active and aware. In recent years, her favorite vacation spot with family was a regular trip down to Wimberly, Texas to float on the river. She loved her country and more closely, she loved her home state of Texas. She was a big fan of the Houston Astros baseball team and loved to eat a wide array of food. A common factor in everything Kim enjoyed is that she wanted to do it all with her family and those that she loved. Home was full of love, support, and joy when she was there. Kim’s death leaves a hole that cannot be filled. All of her family, including her beloved pup Lizzie, were certainly what she cherished most in life, but her relationship with Jesus Christ came first.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her beloved Grandmother Rosie Lois Goff, uncle’s Gary and Lynn Tucker; nephew Clay Wallace. She was survived by her husband Mark Harris; three children, Samuel Alami, David Harris, and Anna Harris; daughters-in-law, Alex Bieri and Bethany Harris; grandchild Evelyn Alami; parents Pat and Dennis Tucker, sister Deana Wallace, and brother Ryan Tucker; Nephew Ben Tucker; Nieces Rylea and Rachel Wallace; mother-in-law, Beverley Harris; sister-in-law, Amanda Harris; Aunts Linda Sebesta, Sharon Traina, and Elizabeth Smith; Uncle Glynn Tucker; many more family, cousins and friends.
