

LaVon Chaney Swan, age 89 of Tyler, Texas entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Sunday, January 1, 1933 in Pittsburg, Missouri to parents, BH " Bert" and Edna Mae Pitts Chaney.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Swan, Benny Swan & his wife Janet; daughter Kristy Swan Range & her husband Garry; grandchildren, Courtney Gregory & her husband Max, Amber Swan, Casie France & her husband Heath, and Josh Swan & his wife Cizon; great grandchildren, Benjamin & Brayden Gregory, Jace & Joanna France and Aisley Swan, all of Tyler, Texas.
She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Chaney Bigler of Bolivar, Missouri and Connie Chaney Stevens & her husband, Bruce of Yucaipa, California.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband "Swanie" Swan; her second husband, Richard Langhoff; sister, Dee Greenlee and brother, Marvin Chaney.
LaVon's childhood was spent in Pittsburg, Missouri where she attended elementary school. She was a graduate of Hermitage High School. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church.
She moved to Los Angeles, California where she met & married "Swanie" in 1952. They moved to Tyler, Texas in 1969 where "Swanie" preceded her in death in 1973. LaVon was married to Richard from Tyler, Texas in 1982 until he preceded her in death in 1986.
LaVon was an independent business owner for over 30 years in Tyler. She especially enjoyed being in nature, gardening, as well as traveling and spending time with family. LaVon was also a charter member of Tyler Christian Church. She had a wonderful way of seeing strength and potential in everyone.
A graveside service will be held at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
