Oran was a Vietnam veteran from 1961 to 1964. He was honorably discharged from the Army. He was also a loving husband, step-father, brother and a friend to everyone he met. He was loved not only by his family, but by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Himes; his sister Faye Reinke and her husband Roger of Sacred Heart, Minnesota; his step-son Warren Scott and his wife Vonda of Ft. Worth; and nephew Raymond Reinke of Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Hazel Himes and his brother William George Himes.
Services will be held, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow.
