Lindell Lee Atkinson

Lindell Lee Atkinson, 79, of Tyler, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 in Tyler. Lee, a retired supervisor for LaGloria, was born on June 27, 1935 in Seagoville. He grew up and attended school in LaMarque, graduating in 1953. Following school he enlisted in the Army. Following his military service, he moved to Tyler and began working at LaGloria. He then met Bobbie Joyce Meek and they were married on June 29, 1958 in Tyler. He retired from LaGloria in 1997. He loved taking a walk, camping, fishing, domino’s and had a collection of humorous printed t-shirts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie of Tyler; daughter, Debbie, and her husband, Wayne Todd of Tyler; son, Dwayne Lee and his wife, Kathy Atkinson of Tyler; brothers, Jim Atkinson of Spokane, Washington and Glenn Atkinson of Houston; grandchildren, Kelly Bailey, Kasey Todd, Rebecca Atkinson, Samatha Atkinson, Christopher Atkinson; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 19, 2014 also at the funeral home, with Dr. Jay Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
