Lowry Milton Jones

Funeral services for Lowry Milton Jones, 94 of Tyler, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2025 in the Chapel at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Carter officiating. The family will gather at 10 am to receive friends before services.

Lowry passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Tyler. He was born January 22, 1931 in Tyler to the late E. Lowry and Lenore Sterling Jones. Growing up in Tyler he graduated from Tyler High School and Tyler Junior College. He attended Southern Methodist University. He had served in the National Guard. He had worked at Borden Milk Company, Brookshires Grocery Company and Colonial Hills Baptist Church where he had been a very active member. He was currently a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He very much loved his family, his church family and friends. He loved playing golf and was a very good handyman and could generally fix anything.

Lowry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Carloyn Jones as well as his parents.

He is survived by daughters, Linda Brasch (Bob) of Marshall and Sherry LaPrade (Rob) of Houston; by a son, David Milton Jones (Katy) of Tyler; four grandchildren, Michael Harris (Daisey), Stephanie Finegan (John David), Jeni Wilkins (Scotryne) and Chris Jones. He had seven great-grandchildren and three nephews.
