Services for Manuel J. Cruz, 56, of Gladewater are scheduled for 2:00pm Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Tyler Memorial Funeral Home chapel with Father Walter Banek officiating. Interment will follow in Tyler Memorial Park.
Mr. Cruz was born March 26, 1954 to the late Manuel H. and Julia Almaraz Cruz and passed away August 23, 2010 in Gladewater. He was a former resident of Tyler since 1961, recently lived in Gladewater for nine years, and worked for McEvoy Oil Field Equipment.
Mr. Cruz is survived by his wife, Martha Cruz of Gladewater; daughters, Chasitie Pierce and husband Keith of Tyler, Michelle Cruz and Lindsey Cruz, both of Tyler; step-son, Matthew Davidson of the U.S. Army; grandchildren, Trey Johnson and Roslin Pierce, both of Tyler; brothers, Juan and wife Denise Cruz of Tyler and Danny Cruz of Bullard; sister, Judy C. Guevara and husband Hector of Tyler and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susie C. Gradick.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Juan Cruz, Danny Cruz, Bobby Shockley, Chris Muller, Tommy Benson and Les Shipp.
