

Margaret Thrasher, 92, of Hideaway went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Colonial Nursing in Lindale. Her family was by her side.
Margaret was born on October 23, 1924 in Eddy, Texas to the late Oliver and Clara (Conaway) Maricle. On December 4, 1946 she married the love of her life, Homer Thrasher. Margaret and Homer retired and moved to Hideaway from Hutchins in 1978.
Margaret was a member of Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church and the TEL Ladies Sunday School Class. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, crocheting, playing games, and most of all spending time with her family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Homer Thrasher on December 13, 2009; three sisters, Corine Litton, Bessie Wolf, Annie Phelps and three brothers, Curtis Maricle, O.C. Maricle, Alvin Maricle.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Kay Simmons and husband David of Hideaway; one son Rickey Thrasher and wife Vicki of Hideaway; four grandchildren; Brian Simmons and wife Jan of Hideaway, Amy Price and husband Bill of Tyler, Brad Simmons and wife Natalie of Flint, Emili Foster and husband Jason of Henderson; nine great grandchildren Macy Terry and husband Mason, Jonas Thrasher-Evers, Allie Simmons, Riley Foster, Wake Thrasher-Evers, Kennedy Foster, Reed Thrasher-Evers, Reece Simmons and Margaret (Daisy) Price; one sister Laura Mae Lindsay of Robinson; one brother Lawrence Ray Maricle and wife Sandra of Lancaster and one sister in law Patricia Maricle of Eddy.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the service at 11 AM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund for Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1630 Lindale, Texas 75771.
Pallbearers are five nephews, Larry Litton, Randy Phelps, Dwaine Wolf, Mike Lindsay, Brad Hopkins and one special friend of our family, Cliff Wallace.
