Marguerite Elizabeth Patton, 100, of Winona, Texas and formerly of Tyler, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2019 in Tyler after a short illness. She was born on July 11, 1918 in St. Francis, Kansas to Dr. J.N. and Lila Matney.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband M.F. (Pee Wee) Patton, daughter Marian Ann Patton, son Gary Wayne Patton, two brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
Marguerite is survived by her two sons, Nicky and wife Kay Patton of New Harmony, Tony and wife Teri Patton of New Harmony, two daughters, Becky and husband Dick Bolton of Lubbock, and Janet and husband Sandy Metcalf of Winona. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery located on highway 64 west in Tyler, Texas. Brother Mike Ford will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice in honor of Marguerite Patton.
