She married the love of her life Erasmo Cocolan in 1989 and had six beautiful children. Maria was a homemaker and housewife. She was a doting mother, wife and grandmother.
Maria spent most of her free time shopping for her grandchildren, sharing her beliefs on facebook, connecting with family in Mexico.
Maria will always be remembered as sophisticated, humorous, vibrant, extroverted, loving, compassionate, courageous, faith-driven, brave, and a remarkably strong woman.
Maria faced a prolonged and challenging battle with cancer. Her steadfast faith in God was a primary source of strength, enabling her to persevere. Additionally, her deep love for her children motivated her to continue fighting; she often expressed her desire to remain strong until her children were able to support themselves. Ultimately, however, her journey did not end there; she found renewed purpose in fighting not only for her children but also for her grandchildren. Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, she was blessed with an additional 14 years to witness the growth of her 13 grandchildren.
