

Marshall Crew Rosser, age 80, of Van, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1945, in Clarksville, Texas, to T.C. Rosser and Eula Faye Rosser. He resided in Ben Wheeler Tx. He spent his younger years in several parts of New Mexico. He attended school in different areas later graduating at Irving High School in 1964. He became a Christian man and was baptized in 1956. He was a medic at W. Beaumont General Hospital El Paso, TX . He was at sea for the Korean War as a medic for 1yr. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal,National Defense Service Medal, Expert (Rifle) Badge with a Honorable Discharge . In 1966, Marshall married Christine Spencer, and together they had two children. Marshall was a builder by trade and spent his life working with his hands. Throughout the years he laid asphalt and built many things including pole barns, houses, metal buildings, and furniture. He also worked in the oilfield and as a prison guard, and much of his career was spent self-employed, doing the work he loved.
In his spare time, Marshall enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dominoes, reading, studying the Bible, and listening to Christian broadcasts. One of his greatest joys was watching his children and grandchildren grow up and start families of their own. He also loved building things for them, including swings, birdhouses, and furniture. Marshall will always be remembered as a strong, hardworking, and loving father who did his best to provide for his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Crew Rosser; his mother, Eula Faye Rosser; his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Petty; and his brother-in-law, Robert Tucker Sr.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Derrick and husband Robert; son, Truman Crew Rosser; grandchildren, Jessica Winchester, Monica Choy,, Brittany Gregory, Macey Hogge and Tristan Rosser, Jennifer Heidelberg, Stacey Karr, Robert M. Derrick; sister, Linda Tucker and 21 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
