M. Lee Wilkins, 82, of Tyler, passed away on October 9, 2013 in Tyler. Lee, a retired Service Manager for a typewriter repair shop, was born on October 7, 1931 in Kearns, Texas. He grew up in Lindale and graduated from Tyler High School in 1949. Following school he enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean Conflict. Following his military service he worked, briefly, for the railroad; then worked at East Texas Typewriter and stayed there for 40 years; retiring in 1996. In his retirement he enjoyed ranching. He is survived by his son, Jacky Wilkins of Tyler; daughters, Vicki Steen of Tyler, Sheryl Steen of Tyler; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 14, 2013 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, with Rev. James Cheatham officiating and interment will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
