Mrs. Serjak, a retired Sales Representative for Behren's Drug Firm, was born on May 17, 1926 in the Cherokee Sound Settlement, Abaco, Bahamas to Guerney and Daisy (Russell) Lowe.
She grew up in Cherokee Sound and Nassau. Following school, she met, and later married, Jacob Serjak. They remained in the Bahamas for a time and then moved to a family farm in East Palestine, Ohio. In 1953, she and her family moved to Tyler where she has been ever since.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and is survived by her son, Gordon Serjak of Tyler.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home; funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
