Myrtle Mae (Cullar) Crawford, 89, passed away on September 7, 2026 at her home in Tyler, Texas. Myrtle Mae was born June 7, 1937 in Roberta, Oklahoma to Allie Mae Duncan and James Albert Cullar. She graduated from McGregor High School in 1955. She attended Draughon's Business College where she met the love of her life, Aylon Crawford. They were married August 11, 1956 and later had two children, Deborah Crawford Brown and Mickey Crawford. They moved to Tyler, Texas in 1969 and she went on to graduate from Tyler Junior College. Myrtle Mae was employed as a Clerk Stenographer for the Texas Department of Health (Region 7) for 15 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church since 1969. She taught girls in GA's at Green Acres for years and enjoyed participating with her Sunday school class and cooking and serving meals to the homebound. She loved traveling,reading,cooking,visiting and making ceramics. She and her husband even owned a ceramic shop and taught classes. Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Aylon Crawford, her parents and two brothers, Leon and J.C. Cullar. She is survived by her children, Mickey Crawford of Tyler and Deborah Brown (Jeffrey) of Yorktown, Virginia; brother, G.B Cullar; two grandsons, Phillip Brown of Yorktown, Virginia and Wesley Brown (Shannon) of Richmond, Virginia. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Scarlett of Bel Air, Maryland; nieces and nephews.
