Ola Marie Jones

December 6, 1919March 5, 2020

Ola Marie Jones, age 100, of Whitehouse, Texas passed away on Thursday March 5, 2020. Ola was born December 6, 1919 in Hopkins County, Texas

There were not enough words to describe Ola, but a few great ones that come to mind are strong, kind hearted, caring, angelic and hard working. Ola always seemed to have a special connection with everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She loved her family more than anything else in this world. Ola was the type of mother who made sure everyone was fed and taken care of before herself and was the last one to sit down at the dinner table. Ola was also famous for her homemade biscuits, she made sure anyone who came over got some. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Ola was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Blanche Dickson; husband, Clifford Jones; son, Thomas "Tommy" Jones; five sisters, Alma, Vesta, Irene, Ura V and Cleo and two brothers, Truman and Orval.

She is survived by her daughter, Laverne Lewis; son, Allen Jones and wife Felicia and daughter in-law, Sandra Jones as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

I am the daughter of Lanny Koons. I have such precious memories of visiting Aunt Ola and Uncle Clifford. As a child it was such a fun time to go to the lake and fish, ride on the barge, swim, and sleep out on the screen porch! Aunt Ola was the best cook and her biscuits were out of this world! She was the sweetest most kind hearted women you would ever meet. She made our visits so special each and every time. And I have to mention also that seeing Uncle Clifford feed catfish by hand was awesome! I can still hear him clapping his hands together like only he could! Aunt Ola was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside! What an amazing example of someone who truly treasured life and those around her. Rest In Peace sweet Aunt Ola. You will be truly missed but never ever forgotten! All my love and deepest sympathies. Charlotte Koons Walker

Strong independent loving and caring she was the light at the end of every tunnel. Her grace and her class showed through her smiles every morning . Her patience and her smile reminded you that there would be better days to come. May her place in heaven be paved with all the things that she deserves and may her family find peace in knowing that she is in a better place.

Love Claire
