

Oscar Daniel Malcolm, 89, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012, at his home in Tyler. He was born on January 18, 1923 in Picardy, Maryland. He married Margaret Light on May 2, 1942 and settled in PawPaw, West Virginia. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Oscar moved his family to Tyler in 1962 to work at the new Kelly-Springfield Tire Plant. He retired from there in 1986. He enjoyed being retired with his days filled with family, traveling, fishing, football games, watching old westerns, helping his kids and watching his grandkids grow.
Oscar was preceded in death by his daughter, Sylvia Boulter, and his wife of 70 years, Margaret Louise Malcolm.
Oscar is survived by his sons, Oscar Malcolm Jr. and wife Carolyn of Pittsburg; Larry Malcolm and wife Shelly of Sugarland; Daughters, Marlene and husband Don Frazier of Tyler; Deborah and husband Michael Walker of Arlington; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Tyler Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Malcolm, “Wesly” Malcolm, William Frazier, Brian Walker, Colin Walker and Malcolm Galiand.
