Patsy married Ernest Bishop in 1951 in Sweetwater. They had 4 children together and raised them in Tyler. She was a devoted Christian, hard worker, and cared for everyone she met.
Survivors include her sons, Ken Bishop and wife Gail of Tyler, Ricky Bishop of Tyler, Russell Bishop and wife Laurie of Tyler; daughter Kay Howard of Tyler; and brother Hayward Murphy of Alabama. Mrs. Bishop had 9 grandchildren, Rainie Bishop-Harris, Cassie Hackel, DeLisa Howard, Mark Bishop, Jennifer Howard, Chris Bishop, Cody Bishop, Courtnie Bishop, Claire Bishop; and eight great-grandchildren, who all lovingly called her “Nanny”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven siblings.
A graveside service for Patsy will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Russell officiating. Her grandsons will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
