

Graveside Services for Pearl Rose Helen Reese Age 101 of Tyler, will be 2:00PM Saturday at Tyler Memorial Park with Rev. Todd Cooper officiating, Mrs. Reese was born on January 29, 1912 in Gilmer to John and Emily Bennifield and passed away on December 6, 2013 in Tyler Mrs. Reese grew up and finished High School in Terrell, Met & Married the love of her life Carl C Reese on May 14, 1932, they managed Hotels in California before returning to Tyler in 1953 where they owned a Gulf Station on W Front & S. Bois D’ Arc for many years. Mrs. Reese was an Officer in the Eastern Star Chapter 112, Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Assembly for Girls, and an avid Bowler. She was a member of Tyler Womens Bowling Association for4 4 years and Bowled every Wednesday morning, she bowled 44 city, 37 State & 3 National tournaments. She was a member and Secretary of Stareville United Methodist Church and a 60 year member of St Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Carl C. Reese, two sisters: Isabell Stark & Irene Nelson and their Husbands and Grandson: Terry Booth. Survivors Include Son: Sandy Reese & Wife: Carol of Flint, 3 Grandchildren: Kimberly Sonnier & Husband: David of Lake Charles, LA, Lance Reese & Fianc’e Gina of Lake Charles, LA, Carlotta Cooper & Husband: Wayne of Pflugerville, 5 Greatgrandchildren & 5 Greatgreatgrandchildren and one on the way. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to St Pauls Childrens Foundation 1358 East Richards St, Tyler, TX 75702.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time at the Funeral Home.
