Peggy Ann Peden passed away on June 26, 2025 in Tyler. She was born in Tyler on February 17, 1934 to C.P. Stewart and Annie Haley Stewart. Full of mischief, she had a life of fun, pranks, laughter, and getting into trouble for talking too much in school. After graduating from John Tyler High School, she attended Tyler Junior College where she was a member of the Apache Belles Drill Team. Peggy’s sweet smile and infectious laughter brought much joy to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Peden.
Survivors include a step-brother, Brian Woodson and wife, Cathy of Chandler; son, Rick Johnson and wife, Debbie of Troup; daughter, Debbie Cates and husband, Kip of Tyler; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Peggy will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
