Graveside services for Robert J "Bob "Corn, 77,went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the hospice of East Texas. He was born on February 16, 1935, in Winnsboro to Elvin And Mary jo Shirey Corn. He Graduated from Winnsboro High School and Tyler Federal Institute. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion post 12. He was a retired owner of American Tire and Wheel of Corpus Cristi. He was a member of Lake Tyler Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Sister, Margie Wyrick; and son,Robert J. Corn Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Johnnie Corn, Tyler; son, Tim McFarland (Corina), Corpus Cristi; daughters, Pam Oliver (Rick) of Tylerand Laurie Ingle, Seagoville; sister, Peggy York, Garland; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren;and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Good Hope Cemetery in Winnsboro with Sherman Mayfield officiating under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of east Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701 or Lake Tyler Baptist Church 13230 County Road 285 Tyler 75707.

DAD WE WILL MISS YOU SOO MUCH,YOU WERE THE BEST DAD AND PAPAW ANYONE COULD ASK FOR ,THE ONES WHO MISSED OUT DONT REALIZE WHAT THEY COULD OF HAD,YOU TAUGHT US HOW TO WORK TO TREAT OTHERS ETC. ROBERT (YOUR GREAT GRANDSON) MISSES YOU SO MUCH BUT HE TOLD ME NANA PAPAW IS IN HEAVEN WITH JESUS I TOLD HIM HE SURE IS,HE SAID I LOVE AND MISS HIM SO MUCH BUT HES NOT SICK ANYMORE,I TOLD HIM THATS RIGHT HES IN HEAVEN DANCING WITH JESUS.. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Johnnie, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Lord knows there will never be another one like Bob Corn. I always loved to "get him started" on politics, justice and fishing. He always had plenty to say and it was usually worth hearing. Love to all. Terry
