Robert W. (Bob) Lancaster age 82 of Hideaway Lake, TX, formerly of Tyler, passed away August 16, 2011 @ ETMC, Tyler. He was born in El Dorado AR on November 18, 1928. At an early age the family moved to Van, TX where he attended local schools growing up and graduated from Van High School in 1946. After high school Bob entered the United States Army and fought for our country during WWII. He retired as a wholesale automotive auto parts salesman. Bob was a life member of VFW Post 1799 in Tyler and served as a post commander. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Mt Sylvan, TX.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Clanton Lancaster, daughter, Dr. Debra Lynn Lancaster, son, Robert Murray Lancaster and his wife Gina, daughter, Denise Elaine Miller and her husband Brian, sister, Betty Gills and her husband Ken, 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 6 great grandsons, 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
