Rodolfo “Rudy” R. Hinojosa, age 81, passed away on August 12, 2025, peacefully in his home in Tyler, Texas. He was born on December 2, 1943, in Weslaco, Texas to Jose and Cecelia Hinojosa. Rudy was raised in Morton, Texas. He married Yolanda Sendejo in 1973, and the couple had five children. He worked at Tyler Pipe industrial and later worked for Tyler Independent School District where he worked for more than 20 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, shopping for vintage items and being with family. His family will always remember him as a caring father, grandfather and great grandfather, a hard worker and overall, just very family oriented.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Cecelia Hinojosa, sisters, Carmen Cruz and Maye Constancio, brother, Robert R. Hinojosa.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Hinojosa, daughter Mercy Valdez and husband Robert of Lubbock, Texas, son Ralph Sanchez and wife Maria of Muleshoe, Texas, son Paul Leal and wife Caroline of Tyler, Texas, son, Billy Jack Hinojosa of Tyler Texas, daughter, Jennifer Hinojosa Quintero of Tyler, Texas, daughter, Michelle Hinojosa of Jacksonville, Texas and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
