Rosemarie Hawkins, age 74, of Ben Wheeler, Texas, graduated from this world to be with God the Father on Wednesday (October 24, 2012) at Hospice of East Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Rosemarie was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 18, 1938. She was the mother of Danny Hawkins of Henderson, Doug & Cindy Hawkins of Mineola, Denise & Dennis Campbell of Tyler, and Karen & David Downing of Chandler and sister to Joyce Clay of Tyler. She was grandmother of Cody and Hayle Walker and Greg, Kim, & Dillon Hawkins and four great-grandchildren all of which she adored.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Hawkins of 37 years, her parents Ellis and Rose Wiley, and brother Jack Wiley.
Rosemarie was an incredible person who devoted her life to loving and taking care of her family.
Family will receive visitors at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, on Saturday, October 27 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Funeral and burial will be Sunday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
