Rudy was born in Ropesville Texas in 1927 to Samual King and Flora Copeland Ardis.
Rudy leaves behind his son, Dwayne Ardis (Fran), 2 grandsons Dan (Hannah) and Jimmy (Kari), and 5 grandchildren Jane, Noah, Grace, Maggie, and Rachel. Daughter-in-law Linda Ardis, 3 granddaughters Lisa (Jeff), Bethany, Kelly, and 6 great-grandchildren Gavin, Ryleigh, Ainsley, Tatum, Aiden and Grace. Rudy also leaves behind his Step-son Robert Langham (Carmel) granddaughter Ali and great-granddaughter Sloane.
Over the years Rudy served in the Merchant Marines during WWll, owned a couple of grocery stores, worked for an oil and gas survey ship sailing around the world, and ended his career working for his cousin’s drug store in Chandler Texas.
Rudy met and married the love of his life, Hazel, in 1977. Over their 46 years of marriage, they enjoyed going on several “around the world” cruises and loved visiting with friends while attending the Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church.
Rudy is now reunited with his beloved wife, Hazel.
