Mr. Kellam worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller until his retirement in 1977. After retirement, he went to work for Hurwitz.
Sonny is survived by his daughters, Kitty (Corkey) Grigsby, and Kim (Ken) Richardson both of Tyler, Texas; granddaughters, Menissa (Brian) Abercrombie of Lindale, Texas and Amanda (Travis) Rutz of Carthage, Texas; great-grandsons, Camden and Luke Abercrombie of Lindale, Texas.
Sonny is preceded in death by his wife, June Kellam; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Kellam.
A time of visitation for Mr. Kellam will be on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Field of Honor Mausoleum Chapel from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow under the direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.
